Mutations affect ethylene binding and metabolism of other plant hormones such as auxin, cytokinins, ABA and gibberellic acid. Ethylene receptor. Has histidine kinase activity. Is regulated by RTE1. Mutations in ETR1 block ethylene stimulation of flavonol synthesis.
